bio + resume

Hailing from the seacoast of New Hampshire, I am the artist and designer daughter of some very inspirational folks.  My Swedish and Greek lineage has helped shape me into a person who loves building, creating, laughing, and loving.  I am moved by the places I’ve been and the things I have seen, and continue to seek inspiration wherever I go.

I left New Hampshire when I was twenty to make a new home in Oregon.  During my ten year Oregon stint, I completed my Interior Architecture degree at the University of Oregon.  I took several intense shop classes, turning out a couple of furniture pieces as well as some small objets d’art.  One of these studios took me to Copenhagen, where I lived for a summer and was taught by some of the top furniture designers of the region.

I come from a long line of craftsmen and architects and maintain a strong focus on the arts and integrated design.  My love of making furniture and small wooden things has inspired works that are accessible and integral to people.  Chairs, ink drawings, wool items, and wooden rings are my main affections, and it is always a joy to see how each piece turns out.  The process of creating something is captivating.  Design is not a linear process, and it is truly a labor of love that grows each one of my pieces.

A traveler and a homebody at once, I revel in the joys of new experiences and the comfort of familiarity.  Home is where the heart is, and mine is once again back in New England.  I now live on the North Shore of Massachusetts with my longtime beau and work for a small architecture and design firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
